December 2005 - January 2006.
Christmas 2005 saw Michael’s first exhibition in the Caribbean. Sandy Lane Hotel Barbados most prestigious address was the venue for this major event, which had over 50 original paintings on show. The event was a huge success, with over 350 attending the VIP evening preview on the 26th December.
Celebrities such as Mr John Hargreaves, Mr & Mrs Phillip Green, Mr John Lodge were among the elite of Barbados who attended. Subjects ranged from the exotic Macaws of South America, Tigers of India, Marine, Equine, and also included a range of indigenous Island subjects such as the celebrated Green Monkeys, all captured superbly in Michael’s unique style. The exhibition ran for just over a week and was quickly sold out, prices ranged from £3,000.00 to £35,000.00. Michael also donated a major painting to the John Lodge Sandy Lane Trust, a charity that helps the orphans and underprivileged children of Barbados. The painting was auctioned and generated £30,000.00 all funds going directly to the charity.
